It features a timeless roadster design and a good number of features for the price. Powering the bike is a 349cc, liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 37bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 32Nm at 6,500rpm. The single-cylinder engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a torque-assist clutch. The Speed 400 gets a set of new colours. These are Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red. The colours are quite striking to look at. They also contrast well with the blacked-out engine and exhaust pipe. As for the styling, the round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and slim tail section are as per the modern-retro design handbook. It has the best ergonomics and performance for a city commute and the top notch performance for highway rides. It has decent suspension which is enough for the potholes in india and slight off road. The torque and throttle response is crazy in this bike. Would definitely recommend buying this beauty. Mileage is decent in this segment. After riding it for over 5,000 km in Mumbai since November 2025, it is a blast in the city and on highways, but it comes with a few real downsides: the engine gets crazy hot in heavy traffic and feels like it's burning your leg through your pants, it misses having a Bluetooth app sync at this price, the stock seat gets uncomfortable on long trips so you will want to modify it, and the service centers are far away (like driving 45 km just to get it serviced from Fort). Worst price tag came after new gst benefit The ex-showroom price for a 400cc engine is ₹2,39,000 with a 40% GST. In comparison, the ex-showroom price for a 349cc engine is ₹2,31,000 with an 18% GST. The flat 22% GST benefit only amounts to ₹8,000, which means customers aren’t really getting any significant advantage. The company seems to be profiting from this new scheme instead. They should consider reducing the ex-showroom price further; otherwise, their bikes might not be seen on the roads again. I’m also considering switching my plan and moving to Honda. Very costly bike after the CC downgrade I always wished to buy this bike after the CC downgrade but still cannot think of it, i thought price would reduce but NO, the company chose to divert all profits to themselves and haven't thought of customers. Power downgrade with same price Only a downgrade in power without any upgrade in mileage and without any reduction in cost in spite of 18% GST. Those who purchased an actual 400cc bike are in profit. Now, only the company is in profit; its customer buys it. If you still can, go for 400cc. I suggest not going for the 350cc version. You get less power; the government gets less tax.
